Financial Support for Eligible Participants from Asia
1. Asian Student Sponsorship
In support of otter research in SEA, the OSG will be offering financial support for up to 50 eligible students and for a limited number of professionals from Asia to attend this congress. We will evaluate all applications on a case-by-case basis to ascertain whether to provide complete or partial support. Do note that financial support generally does not cover registration fees. To apply, first register at www.tinyurl.com/ioc2016-registration, then email us with i) your curriculum vitae (CV) and ii) a detailed request for financial support which should include an introduction about yourself, what you can do for otter conservation, and what you hope to gain from this congress. If your application is successful, you will be required to submit the following documents to us to apply for your student accommodation at the National University of Singapore: i) a copy of your student ID (or if pre-matriculated, an acceptance letter from your university) and ii) a copy of your passport with the expiry date. Funding for Otter Research Projects Successful students who qualify for financial support and who are interested to carry out otter research projects in Southeast Asia are invited to apply by emailing us an abstract of your proposal (maximum 400 words) with your affiliation and supervisor’s details. Selected students will pitch their project proposals during the congress. Full or partial funding will be granted to the winning pitches.
