Abstract Submission for Oral and Poster Presentations
Participants can choose to make an oral presentations and/or a poster. Each registered participant may present two contributions as first author (one oral and one poster). Application for a presentation must be secured by submitting the abstract at: http://tinyurl.com/ioc2016-abstract.
Presentations
Oral presentations will be limited to a maximum of 10 minutes, a time that will be strictly maintained by each of the session chairperson. This will be followed by a 5- minute question-and-answer (Q&A) session.
Short updates about planned or completed otter work in Asia will be accepted for special five-minute presentations.
Project pitch by sponsored students seeking research funding should prepare a three-minute oral proposal.
The powerpoints for oral presentations must be submitted in .ppt, .pps or .pptx formats to representatives of the Organising Committee (or by email to [email protected]) at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled oral presentation. This will enable the audio visual (AV) team to ensure that file is compatible with the AV system.
Posters
Posters must be no larger than 120 cm (height) by 90 cm (width) and must include the following sections: i) title, ii) authors, iii) affiliation, iv) introduction, v) methods, vi) results, vii) discussion and viii) conclusion.
Posters must be submitted to representatives of the Organising Committee on the first day.
Poster presentations will take place over the afternoon coffee break throughout the entire congress, and the exposure of each poster will depend on the number of posters.

- Deadline for abstract submission for presentations and posters is 31 March 2016.
- Notifications of acceptance or reviews will be sent to corresponding authors by 24 April 2016.
- At least one presenter for each accepted abstract must register for the congress and pay the registration fee by 30 April 2016. Abstracts without a registered presenter by this date will be removed from the congress programme.
Format of abstract
- Abstracts must be written in English, in text only (no pictures, tables or graphics) and no longer than 400 words.
- Abstracts, must clearly present the rationale and relevance of the objectives.
- Abstracts must include the following: i) title, ii) authors, iii) affiliation, iv) keywords (maximum five including , with species name and biome), v) introduction, vi) methods, vii) results and viii) discussions.
- Abstracts that do not meet these criteria will not be accepted.
